Made with love.
Served with joy.
It is written on everything we do, and it is not a slogan we bought. It is the standard the kitchen is held to.

It starts with refusing to rush
Nigerian food does not reward shortcuts. Egusi needs time to thicken. Banga has to be slow-cooked from the palm nut. Ofada sauce is not ofada sauce if you hurry it.
So we do not hurry it. Every pot at Data's Kitchen is cooked the way it is supposed to be cooked, with fresh ingredients bought for the day and spices measured by taste rather than habit.
That is the whole method. There is no clever trick underneath it.
Every pot, every spice, every recipe, prepared with care.
The things we will not compromise on
-
Fresh, not frozen over
Ingredients are bought for cooking, not for storing. What goes in the pot today was chosen for today.
-
Authentic, not adjusted
Efik soups taste Efik. Calabar dishes taste Calabar. We are not interested in flattening flavours to make them easier.
-
Generous, on purpose
Value matters. A plate should leave you full and feeling looked after, not counting what you got.
-
Warm, every single time
Hospitality is not a department here. Whoever picks up the phone is the same kitchen that cooks your food.
For the days that matter more
A birthday. An anniversary. Christmas with everybody home. The office party someone has to organise.
We cater those too, and we treat them the way we treat a single plate of rice: properly. Tell us what the day looks like and we will build the menu around it.
